Knowing Certain Vehicle Terms

One thing that people are going to come across when it comes to vehicles is the terminology. These terms that people read about often describe what is going on with the vehicle. Among the examples of terminology that often occurs are oversteer and understeer. Both of these describe instances that are related to steering.

When it comes to the oversteer, this is where the vehicle gets fishtailed. In other words, the back of the vehicle slides out and the vehicle either spins a little to the left or the right. This is a result of the back side of the vehicle having less of a grip than the front side of the vehicle.

The understeer is the exact opposite. The front side of the vehicle has less of a grip on the road than the backside of the vehicle. We at Kuhio Chevy Cadillac are available to help you understand the causes of these steering occurrences.
